Did you know that between November and January of every year, the US puts 25 million extra pounds of garbage into landfills nationwide? In that extra weight you can find 38,000 miles of ribbon alone - enough material to extend around the planet. You will also find the majority of the 28 billion pounds of edible food thrown out annually.
